Executive Summary Report

The Executive Summary report provides an overview of your assets and their security posture in the microsegmentation journey. The report provides visibility of your workload environments and leverages data to protect workloads by defining, simulating, and enforcing policies.

The Executive Summary report helps you determine:

  • Current position in your zero trust microsegmentation journey
  • Level of safely of your assets and the connections

Data in the report

Overall Progress

  • The Onboard Assets widget provides the number
    of assets and resources discovered on your network.

    You can view the total number of managed server
    workload and the  discovered resources (private unmanaged).
  • The Segment widget provides the number of assets
    moved to groups and the number of assets remaining,
    if any, to be moved to a group to ensure security policies are enforced.

    You can view the status of the next step,
    which is “tagging and grouping” of assets and determine the progress of microsegmentation that is required.
  • The Secure widget provides the number of assets to be fully secured.

    You can view a distribution of:
    • Protected (Enforced) vs Simulation mode (Observed with assigned policy >= 1)
    • Not Protected Assets (Not grouped or part of group with assigned policies = 0)

Current Security Posture

  • The segmentation posture provides the percentage
    of Workload groups in Simulation mode, Enforced mode, and the groups that have no policies associated.

    You can also view the number of connections for past 7 days.

    The segmentation posture is computed based on number of assets in Protected Mode.
Posture = Protected / (Protected + Simulation + Unprotected)

Low: <= 1/3
Medium: Between 1/3 and 2/3
High: >= 2/3
Security Posture is computed using 3 parameters:
  • Number of unprotected assets
  • Risky communications
  • Open ports with no traffic

Expected Journey Progression

The Executive Journey Progression provides a snapshot of deployment progress over past one week in your environment.
