Manage CT Connectors
All CT Connectors managed from an instance are listed on the Xaccess > Connectors page. The following columns on the page display the availability status of the Connectors.
-
Status column - displays the connectivity status of the Connectors. Connectivity status is determined by heartbeats sent from Connectors once every 90 seconds.
-
State column - displays whether the Connector is actively used ( Enabled or Disabled) to route user traffic.
Enable application discovery for Connectors
Provide the details of the network segments where the applications are hosted by their subnets or domains. This enables Application Discovery for Connectors.
Download Connector logs
Download the log files of a CT Connector if you need to investigate and troubleshoot availability and performance issues with the Connector. Log files for CT Connectors contain vital data about network configuration and resource utilization. Log files are download in TAR format using the Logcollect utility for Xshield agents.
Monitor Connectors
In addition to the Status column on the Connectors page, CT Connectors can be monitored from the following pages on Xshield:
-
Xaccess > Xaccess Dashboard - see the resource utilization and throughput statistics of the Connectors on the Xaccess Dashboard.
-
Alerts - see Appliance alerts for info about offline Connectors.
Some additional diagnostic information can also be derived from the native CLI of the Connectors.
Disable Connectors
Disable a CT Connector when you want to temporarily disable its services and/or troubleshoot issues with the Connector. Disabled Connectors do not provide remote access services in your Xaccess private network. Disabled Connectors show a Disabled status in the State column.
We recommend that you gauge the impact of disabling Connectors before you disable them. Also, for uninterrupted access to users, ensure that you meet the Deployment recommendations before you disable them.
-
Select the Connector and click Disable in the fly panel.
Decommission Connectors
Decommission Connectors when you no longer need them in your Xaccess private network. Decommissioning a Connector uninstalls the Xshield agent on the Connector. Decommissioning is irreversible.
-
Select the Connector and click Decommission in the fly panel.
